Tri-City Medical Center
Serving The Community
It has been recently reported in Giving Tuesday’s Data Commons research arm that charitable giving is likely to return to pre-pandemic patterns in 2021. The report also states that overall giving in 2020 increased more than 5% from 2019. For 60 years, Tri-City Hospital Foundation has played an important role in promoting philanthropy and well-being in our community. Thanks to the support of generous donors, even during pandemic times, the Foundation has funded millions of dollars for North County’s Tri-City Medical Center.
“I have witnessed firsthand that San Diegans are committed to making this world a better place; they have expressed that through their generous support of the Tri-City Hospital Foundation and Tri-City Medical Center” Jennifer Paroly, President of the Tri-City Hospital Foundation shared with GB Magazine. “Once funded, the redesign of the Tri-City Medical Center Emergency Department (ED) will completely renovate the medical center’s emergency department’s entrance, patient and family waiting area, lighting, triage area, and a major treatment area in the ED.”
Thanks to a generous matching grant from the David C. Copley Foundation to redesign the Emergency Department (ED), funds donated will be matched, two-to-one, up to a maximum of $1.2 million which will amplify the impact of donations on the health of our community. The redesign of the ED will improve upon Tri-City Medical Center’s already excellent outcomes by streamlining the triage process to decrease wait times and improve the patient experience.
Tri-City Medical Center, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary serving the community, is home to acclaimed emergency room-based programs in heart attack and stroke care, having recently received five Gold and Gold Plus awards in these areas from the American Heart Association’s “Get with the Guidelines” program.
“For decades, the Foundation has played an important role in promoting philanthropy and well-being in our community,” said Paroly. “Since our inception, we have funded nearly $50 million in programs, services, specialized equipment, and capital needs with the goal of helping people heal, lead healthy lives, and have access to excellent medical care.”
Tri-City Hospital Foundation is preparing to celebrate its 40th Annual Gala at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad on October 23, 2021 and is thrilled to announce that award winning artist SEAL will perform at the event. The British singer-songwriter, focused on a single creative pursuit: expressing the full experience of love through song, has sold over 20 million records worldwide, with hit songs “Crazy” and “Killer,” the latter of which went to number one in the UK. His most celebrated song, “Kiss from a Rose”, was released in 1994.
“One of the hallmarks of our signature Annual Gala is having a star-studded line-up that our guests will never forget,” said Paroly. “Having SEAL perform at our gala is sure to excite all the music lovers out there who would love an up-close and personal experience with this music legend. We look forward to a very special evening with our community uniting together with the common goal of making the world a better place where we give more, love more and live more.”
