Fairbanks Ranch Country Club welcomed 60 Women’s Golf Association (WGA) members as they played and supported the 10th Annual “Tee’d Off At Cancer” event. The proceeds this year totaled a record breaking $103,705 to support Scripps MD Anderson Cancer Center on Torrey Pines.

The joyous event was established by, and continues to be chaired by, cancer survivor Judith Goodwin. Judith Goodwin established the fundraiser in 2011 to raise money for the center where she was treated and saved from breast cancer. “Judith’s story is so inspiring, and we are blessed to be involved with this event,” Kerry shared with GB Magazine. Kerry plays competitive-league golf with the WGA ladies golf group that played for the charity. “It is a mini but mighty group that continues to annually raise an incredible amount of money to help fight this terrible disease.”

Scripps MD Anderson is part of MD Anderson Cancer Network, a global collaborative network of hospitals and health care systems dedicated to MD Anderson’s mission to eliminate cancer. As a Scripps patient, you can take advantage of the nation’s highest-ranked cancer treatment right here in San Diego.

Since 2017 Scott Appleby and Kerry Appleby Payne have proudly been a Corporate Sponsor of the outstanding “Tee’d Off At Cancer” event. Kerry’s brother, Scott, would not be here today if he had not received such cutting-edge treatment for his stage IV anaplastic thyroid cancer from MD Anderson in Houston, Texas who continue to coordinate with his doctors at the Scripps MD Anderson Cancer Center. Scott Appleby and Kerry Appleby Payne are a dynamic brother-sister duo that market and sell luxury residential real estate in La Jolla, Del Mar and Rancho Santa Fe.
