Girl Scouts San Diego Honors Troops with 23 Years of Operation Thin Mint

Girl Scouts San Diego kicked off National Military Appreciation Month with the Operation Thin Mint Sendoff and Family Festival aboard the USS Midway Museum. The event welcomed more than 1,500 guests and commemorated 23 years of Operation Thin Mint, a service project launched in San Diego that has inspired the donation of more than 4.2 million Girl Scout Cookie packages for U.S. military personnel since its inception in 2002. The celebration included booths, crafts, music and dancing, even a giant pink axolotl!
