10 Things About Christian Webb & Freedom Dogs

The mission of Freedom Dogs is to speed the recovery and enhance the lives of wounded military heroes through the use of specialty-trained service dogs. From 8 weeks of age, the Freedom Dogs live with their trainers while completing a two-year program of special training before being teamed with a wounded warrior. Christian Webb is the Office Manager as well as a Volunteer Trainer for Freedom Dogs.
#1 I grew up Carlsbad, California.
#2 My Mom raised my sister and me on her own and has had such an immense impact on my life. She is my best friend and my biggest supporter. She has taught me empathy, kindness, honesty, responsibility, and other essential values that have made me who I am today.
#3 Maui, Hawaii is my favorite travel destination.
#4 Italy, Greece, and London would be my top 3 destinations that I have yet to travel to.
#5 It is on my bucket list to attend the Masters Golf Tournament, learn Korean, and scuba dive the Great Barrier Reef.
#6 All of the Freedom Dogs trainers are volunteers. I am currently training a Freedom Dog named Livingston.
#7 Giving back to the community is important to me because it fosters social responsibility, strengthens community bonds, addresses specific needs, promotes personal growth, and creates a positive impact on others.
#8 I initially got involved with Freedom Dogs through managing their social media channels. During this time, I was able to learn a lot more about the mission and values of Freedom Dogs which closely align with my own. It was not long after that I began volunteering as one of our dog trainers and working with our wounded service members.
#9 I have hit four hole-in-ones but none at the Freedom Dogs Golf Tournament yet!
#10 Proceeds from our golf tournament will go towards helping our wounded members of the military who are being treated for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), and/or other physical impairments. Along with our trainers, our specialty service dogs provide both physical and emotional support, helping wounded warriors successfully make the challenging transition back to civilian life, or in some cases, return to active duty.
